Ben Chiarot isn't going anywhere, he's currently our 2nd pairing RD. Unless Yzerman makes a trade or signing for a true 2nd pairing RHD he'll be penciled in with probably Simon Edvinsson.

I think that's why we signed him to be honest. Detroit needs to be tougher to play against, moving him would make us less tough. He probably plays his offside until a replacement is found.

Petry has a 6.25 cap hit for 2 years Chiarot has 4.75 cap hit for 3 years. I think a swap of bad contracts could work.
