Gonna ignore all the other data points in his 9 year only 130 NHL game history huh? Even with his low end starter type season last year, he still has a 3.08 GAA and .908 s% with a 48-68 W/L split. That’s great that you like him, he’s not worth a second.
What data points? You mean what was written above? Yeah that was not directed to you...
SV% is almost useless without context if you're trying to evaluate a goalie. He only had 1 season before coming to Ottawa and had 0.908 in Chicago who didn't have great defensive systems and personnel too
He has 0.911 in Ottawa and I can assure you that it's worth at the VERY LEAST 0.010 more on the average NHL team defense. (so 0.921)
Coming from a goalie for 30+ years
Oh and by the way, I'm not a blind homer. For example, I called Andrew Hammond a "flash in the pan" in the midst of his insane run in 2015. He had a 20-1-2 record and a 0.941 SV%
Forsberg is way better. Anyway, not trading him for a 4th or even a 2nd for that matter, so moot point.
