I honestly think Ottawa should accept this ASAP.

1 --- Pageau's contract is not that bad because it only has 3 more years on it with a cap hit of 5 million.


2 --- Pageau is still the same player since we traded him.


3 --- We are getting an unconditional 1st with no lottery protection + a 2nd.


4 --- We're getting two additional forwards that were former 1st round picks to fill out the bottom six, one of which is waivers exempt.


5 --- The total value of this package for DeBrincat could turn out to be greater than what we gave Chicago.

I haven't heard anything on Varlamov, but I could see him be loyal to Lou and finish on LI.
