And if they don’t want futures, then Anderson is probably the best forward they can get in return. Hoffman and Dvorak are meh

Ya awful take by management, still don’t quite understand who they are, small market team, 3/4 years build a nucleus, ride it out for 3/4 years and do it all again. Glorified junior schedule of build and rebuild.

Best they can do from Montreal in terms of current help is Anderson/Dvorak. And they can maybe bring Domi home. But with that many rentals on the team including both their centres it’s probably best to blow it up and trade everyone except Connor and Morrissey. Maybe even at least entertain Connor trades too.

It also helps they’ve already accumulated some great prospects in the past few years to shorten the rebuild

They won't have to take back awful cap dumps, give players away for nothing take back unneeded players or overpay for players that won't waive for Winnipeg anyways.

The Montreal trade you have Winnipeg giving up PLD for free. Montreal isn't even giving up enough to dump Anderson. Why would Winnipeg expect to get significantly less than Horvat got as a rental when PLD is the better player.

I stay away from anderson just on contract term and possibly health, I take a run at this years draft, even if it means taking lesser prospects or return, take a healthy shot at 8 to 32, would love to try and add some pucks going forward also. 23/24/25 drafts and be ready again in 26. Not just older lesser vets to sell. I sell everybody but morrissey. I think they need a president and a new gm. But another post and build lol

Sure it is. PLD has never scored 30 goals. Horvat hat 31 and 38 in his previous 2 seasons... The rest of their stats are comparable. Other than being taller and younger, I don't specifically see how he's better than Horvat.

Doing everything at a younger age than Horvat. Other than Horvat's career year he's just been okay, never impressive. But if you want to call them the same that's fine. It's just PLD dies everything Horvat does, while being younger
