I love Morgan Rielly but no team is trading a top 10 pick when they are rebuilding.

Yea I don't think the trade is horrible with the Ducks but just don't think they would accept, they aren't going to contend (even for a playoff spot) for a year or two so why give up a younger big centerman for a scoring winger. Nylander is a good player not taking anything away just the timeline and position value don't seem to match.

The McTavish trade is so breathtakingly bad for Anaheim that I'm speechless.

Hoping to ward off nonsense offers like this, a week ago I said several times that it seems like half the Toronto fanbase is constructing trades using the following thought "process": (1) what high-cap All-Star player(s) with one or two seasons left on their contract do I want to trade, and (2) what players and draft picks would I like to get for them, without any regard for the other team's roster needs or cap situation.

It didn't work.

We keep telling you guys, none of the young core are available for any of the big four, nor are our first round picks.
