Not ideal at all for Rangers or Isles, and I would guess Flyers too.

Only deal that even has a chance of happening is the Pit trade, the others get the Habs phone number put on the block list

it cost around a high end 2nd to get edmundson 50% your dumping bailey for with a first cuz hes **** waste of cap and they need to compete. laffy is pretty **** tbh getting anderson at 3.5 for four yrs as a contender with his size and goal scoring depth and a 2nd is very ideal. also like i said hart had 1 got season your getting a B+ prospect top 4 potential d a backup goalie who needs a shot at the nhl and a first

I dont understand why MTL fans think teams want Josh Anderson lol. Also I don't think Laf accepts that deal. Hes going to take a bridge deal, not a long term deal at 4.5m.

any team wants Anderson at 3.5 for four years while putting up 25+ goal pase in last 3yrs. with a early 2nd in a deep draft not to mention his drive size strength and leadership

Oh I read it but it doesn't mean anything. Hart is the only reason we won games last year. HIm "not living up to potential" is a lazy argument. Maybe that has something to do with how bad the team has been in front of him...maybe? Ask yourself this...why would the Flyers sell their franchise goalie for nothing of true value?

How about making trades off common sense and logic because that's what's missing here

Terrible rangers deal. Not even sure if Anderson is that much of an upgrade over “bust” Laffy

If Laffy is ass according to you, why would you want the Habs to trade for him and immediately sign him long term? Follow up, if he is so ass, why would the Rangers trade him to acquire an oft injured, older, and more expensive player who literally has been outscored by Laf since he entered the NHL in significantly less ice time/PP time?

That one doesn't even remotely have a chance. He is a very expensive back up. No one is paying for that unless he is retained at 50%

Anderson has more PP ice time than Laf every season since he was drafted, its not even close. Lafreniere has more points in less ice time than Anderson. Also mentioning 25 goals for Anderson is crazy considering he has done it once in his career and it was 5 seasons ago (which ironically was the only season of his career he had more points than Laf did last year). Lafreniere will sign a bridge deal in the 2-3 mil range, be cheaper than JA for at least 2 years, and almost certainly be the better and more effective player for those years.

It means he isn't worth anything unless you retain half his salary. And even then he isn't worth much more than a single 5th or a swap of back up goalies.

The Isles LD is set with Pelech, Romanov, Aho, and Bolduc. Lou is a believer is in 3 LD and 3 RD which would already make Edmundson of no interest. In addition the Isles are not going to pay a 1st for Edmundson who looked like he was really struggling last year coming back from surgery. Mayfield is almost certainly gone, but the Isles would be targeting a RD to replace him that is younger and a better puck mover.
