Too much if the Hawks have to eat Garland. Without Garland yes, but with him, if one of the Hawks 2nd's has to be included it's NYR or TB but I doubt they would need to add a 2nd. Garland has much less value to the Hawks then to the Knucks as well so it's diminishing returns for the Knucks.

Pearson is a minor piece since he'll be out, BUT VAN won't need to clear him at the start of the season. Moving him does offer some flexibility.

Why would Van trade a good player and move down? Don't say cap space because they are just fine without doing this and have better options in flipping Myers. This whole idea would make sense if Jim Benning were still here but now it's nonsense.
