Well no. If MTL were to do a deal based around Dvorak, there'd have to be an additional pick or a prospect/player they can't afford to give away.

There isn't enough there to allow Montreal to dump Matheson and return PLD.

It's unrealistic to think that you won't have to give up anything substantial if you are only giving Winnipeg a late first and also trying to send Matheson as a cap dump.

It just won't be competitive at all. Fortunately for Winnipeg, Matheson won't waive.

He was traded from Pittsburg as a cap dump and is older and worse now. Not to mention he's an unneeded LHD.

You seem like a knowledgeable guy tears of joy

For anyone who's paying attention, Matheson had a top-pairing caliber season in PIT. They didn't want to trade him, but MTL insisted. He also had a top-pairing caliber season this year on a different team.

Lol. You keep telling yourself that. He's never been more that an average bottom pairing guy and got worse in Pittsburgh after they have him that hideous contract. That's why Pittsburgh wanted to get out of his contract.

I understand he may be top pairing in Montreal, but on any other team he's a press box guy.

I think all that is needed would be Beck, FLA 1st, and Dvorak. Put Matheson is worth a heck of a lot more than Dvorak. Even if the price is a bit more than Beck,FLA 1st, Dvorak, Matheson is worth much more than the small add needed

Lol you are either a massive homer or just straight-up an asshole.

First off, Panthers gave him that contract not Pittsburgh. So you're already proving that you're not knowledgeable on the matter.

Not to mention 34 pts in 48 gp on a new injury-plagued team, good for 18th league-wide in P/GP among D.

He would be the 2nd best D on Winnipeg by a good margin.

Windjammer is known to be the biggest troll on this website. The best thing you should do is press the ignore button. He is not worth the time or patience.

Yeah, I'm seeing that lol. But the worst thing is that I think he's dead serious in his awful takes lol.

One fluke season doesn't make him great. Besides Winnipeg has too many LHD as it is, and doesn't need to add another one. He holds no value to Winnipeg.

It's two seasons, with two different teams. It's not a fluke. Winnipeg definitely takes him to be their #2D, and he holds a lot of value to pretty much every team.

And don't try to back up from your "cap dump" take lol. You've already shown that you just don't have a clue.

You can like him. We both know it was an exchange of cap dumps between Montreal and Pittsburgh. No one wants Matheson.

Sure lmao. You should try to educate yourself on the sport of hockey, surely it cant be worse than it already is.

Like, people come up with objective facts and you're just denying everything with false arguments out of your butt and don't accept being wrong.

There is no evidence that Mr Gorton and Mr Hughes have interest in trading for PLD. Not saying I would mind but the Jets are difficult to deal with they will ask for no. 5 overall, to that I'd say no

MM is a top 20-30 D man in the league by any metric imaginable. He wasn’t a liability in pit and he sure isn’t now after scoring 35 pts in half a season with half the team injured 🤣 by your stupid logic the jets should’ve paid to move PlD last year cuz he’s just a dump 🤣🤣

Yesterday this guy was saying that Josh anderson being big is a “‘made up intangible” as if his height and weight aren’t publicly available lol

Lol. Don't forget you also think Josh Anderson has value. So, your evaluation of players is extremely biased. Matheson and Anderson are cap dumps.
