For Fudge sake indeed- It would be great to get PlD but just resign Danault kind of the same player and long term chesper.

A few points:
1 Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the 61 point season while he was on a line with Panarin? If so than that season stands as the outlier, meaning he is a 50 point player. Is his upside higher than that ?
2. I don’t think any Habs fan thinks PLD is anything but a great young player, I sure do. But you never know what is going on the mind of a GM. What he has tried to get, what he has been offered , look at the Anderson trade, look at the contact MB gave him. You never can tell.

I don’t particularly want PDL just relaying a trade I heard on you tube. I think if he’s having a hard time in Columbus Montreal would not be any better.

That’s a little dramatic, granted a 1st and Newhook is a little lofty but something like Compher for Drouin I think is pretty fair. Then trade Daualt.
