I don't think NJ trades Hischier alone let alone adds. It's not that I don't think that Lindholm and Hanifin are bad players, but contracts play a role here.

I see Tyler Myers as a negative value, so I don't like that trade for the Flames at all. Moving up in the draft is good, but not worth it IMO.

I could see something similar to the CAR trade around the deadline if the Flames are out of it.

Carolina trade is pretty meh. I would want either a higher pick or a prospect with higher potential.

Jersey doesn't consider that at all. Rentals do not return players like Hischier with his term.

I don't think a team is going to give an actual 2nd rounder for Vladar (especially a fairly high one), but i think he can get a 2nd in net value (ie a prospect and a 3rd)

Flames don't tough the Canucks trade. There is no one worth moving up from 16 to 11 to justify downgrading from Tanev to Myers.

I came here to comment on the Canes trade, but couldn’t make my self get past the NJD abomination. Lindholm would need to be like 5 years younger and signed to an 8 year deal to even consider it…and I love me some Lindholm.

You’re going to get wildly differing opinions on the Canes trade…I just don’t understand why it has to be Drury and a 1st?

I am of the understanding that the flames do want to get younger, but have young players coming from the AHL as well. Wouldn’t Drury just block this path?

Sounds good, and again I agree that there's no way a GM makes that trade. I was just curious from a fan perspective regarding value. Lindholm was 2nd in Selke voting a year ago as well, so it's not like I suggested a bag of pucks.
