As a Leaf fan, I think it's a good deal for the Leafs. Batherson is good and has nice three years lefts on his 5m contract. Gee, that's a 6m cap the Leafs have to spend elsewhere. Even if the Leafs don't have the cap for DeBrincat, they might get modest return in a trade.
