Josh Anderson is a good player. Fast, huge, hard forechecker. But he is a 3.5m player making 5.5m. No way the Leafs offer that package for him.

Colorado needs a centre, not another winger. So they would pass on that also.

I don't think Montreal would be interested in giving up Josh for that package anyway. Robertson is good but he is another small winger and Hughes has said he wants to get bigger, faster and more skilled. The first is nice but it isn't enough since rumors are we already turned down a 1st for Anderson. Timmins for me at least doesn't move the needle at all, he is basically another 4-8 D man.

What if Montreal then flips Robertson and the Colorado pick to another team for a late teens/early twenties draft pick?

This is fair value for Anderson, honestly. It may not be the pieces Hughes is looking for, but I could see him being tempted and confident enough in is flipping skills to take those assets, and turn them into something that he would like more.

...but god I would hate to see Anderson playing for TO.
