Unless something has changed, Reilly is buried here. Second, he's better than two defensemen here. Playing him in the top4 and then flipping him at trade deadline is one option.

No one is interested in Reilly on his current contract... including the Bruins. Buy him out and let him sign with another team on a more reasonable contract.

Jarry is unnecessary here, buy out Reilly, and deal Forbort... thats nearly $8.5M in cap space right there. No cap hell.

3rd pair D at $1.5M is pretty decent especially if he still plays at level he did before going to the AHL. The issue with a buyout is the Bruins would have $1.33M in dead cap in '24-25 too. We'll see.

If Jarry is willing to sign for 2.75mil I find it hard to believe he wouldn't just stay with the Pens
