Cap Space Galore

Créé par: HCSG
Équipe: 2023-24 Penguins de Pittsburgh
Date de création initiale: 10 mai 2023
Publié: 10 mai 2023
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
DET, BOS, and PHI(!) trades all hammered out at the 2023 Draft, resulting in around $30M in Cap Space. From there, build your dream team, or whatever. IDK.

Carter probably blocks his trade, which sucks. Almost as much as he sucks. Oh well. This is fake.

Boston accepts, you could probably drop the 3rd and they’d accept.

Now you have to convince Ullmark.

Pens wont have to pay to get rid of Petry.. he's a positive value player even in the down year... but it does make DET fans so mad when you trade him there.

What would a package of Petry + 1st be? Few 2nds + a B prospect? I'm obsessed with this idea.

According to Seravelli the Canucks have been aggressively approaching teams to determine the cost of moving their big cap players…mostly Garland, but I’d assume looking at Boeser and Myers too at the very least and reports are that teams are telling the Canucks it will cost high draft picks to dump those players onto other teams. So like I’ve said all along…no one is going to pay for Garland, Boeser, and Myers. So these fantasy land trades if getting a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd are just that. Fantasy

I think DET accepts that trade. They move up a few spots in the draft, grab a later pick, and get the RHD they need. PIT gets the cap space they need.

Petry was a pretty good player for PIT, so this trade is dependent on their path forward. Are they going to reload for Sid, Geno, Letang? Or rebuild? If it's reload, Petry doesn't go anywhere, you'll need a guy like him.

What kind of sandwich tho? Like a Pittsburgh Primanti Bros type thing? Or just your average run of the mill sandwich?

Can Penguins fans stop trading us Carter...we have no use for him and aren't bailing out our biggest rival unless you massively overpay.

Two picks is a massive overpayment! Do you guys think you're doing anything next year?

Having said that, I'd happily give up two 2nds, even. Not that it'll happen, no matter the price.

I didn't know that. Pretty great news, to be frank.
