If you want the next Alexander Georgiev in Dan Vladar the Price is a 2nd RD Pick (OR TWO 3rds + a 5th minimum) or Equivalent (Low-Cost) Player/Prospect(s)

Vladar is signed for $2.2mil/yr, whereas Georgiev is 55% more at $3.4mil/yr, so there's additional value there as well

OTT, ARI, PIT & LAK will be interested in Vladar's services as well, so the demand is there and we should get that value for him in return

Detroit at this time when you figure promotions have about 28 million in cap space with 17 players under contract. Cap hit for this is not an important factor for the wings in the short term. They either will pay for hill or something of the like/ pay the price for a major upgrade/ follow the ned-husso route of a mid round pick for a goalie.

Another team might pay up for him with the need for the lower cap hit, but not Detroit. Pit and Ott dont have their 2nd, so i guess if want close to this value its AZ or LA

There is zero market for 2nd tier goalies right now. Detroit can get a better option in free agency, so why would we waste a pick? Furthermore, your valuation is off and Vladar is worth a 3rd at best.

I like the player I like him more than most but he isn't worth a 2nd right now. I'm sure some deal can be found but that's not it. Plus yzerman bought goalies with picks two off-seasons in a row with mediocre results so not sure he dips in again.

It may not be DET, I’ve said that before, but somebody will pay a 2nd or the Equivalent (3rd + 3rd + 5th)

Not sure who you will find any better or cheaper via Free Agency, but good luck with that for sure. Vladar is on his way to becoming an NHL Starter, so keep your eyes on him

In any event. I’m confident CGY’ll get more than just a 3rd Round Pick in return for him

I think cheap is the right word here, teams next to the cap could really use a back up like him.
