The outskirts are trash but so are the outskirts of most big cities. There are homeless, like most big cities.

I'll give you that it's not the nicest downtown in the world, but it's certainly not the worst either. It's a good place to play hockey, IMO. You get ever-changing weather (sometimes hot, sometimes cold), you get an original 6 team's history without the overwhelming media presence, and for Debrincat you get to be closer to family which can be invaluable depending on your situation.

If Detroit wins the draft lottery then I fear Nostradamus will once again be proven correct.
