They might not.. We've got cap hell going on, I think we are a better team re-signing our rentals than keeping Kap, not sure Kap fits into the window when our prospetces will be Cup competitive.. Lindholm to keep butts in seats now and another bullet in the gun to make the best group of 18-21 year olds out there seems like a good play

I think JoJo can get 20g 30a next year, same with Nyquist.. I think Sundqvist is good substitute for Greenway.. I think all those guys could be had for 5mil AAV combined if given 3-4 year term.. which would replace Kaps production at a lower AAV and add Lindholm

This is very flawed thinking. Kaprizov is like Gaudreau. Being such a dynamic player absorbs the focus of the other team like a dry sponge with water. Look how much that affected the Flames this season loosing him. They tried to fix that loss by improving their center depth with Kadri and that failed.

I get what you're getting at there.. right now Kap gets a ton of attention.. I'm thinking of building around the idea of 3-4 scoring lines like the original and fun Golden Knights running evenly whist in the middle of cap hell, rebuild... I think losing Matt is what killed the flames

Then sell him for futures. Either way, Calgary won't move Lindholm for him because moving Lindholm means Calgary has to rebuild and acquiring Kaprizov is counterproductive to a rebuild. Also the cap doesn't work at all
