Would cost you way more than this to get Dowd

Why do you have a player who just posted a career high of 104 points on the 2nd line?

RNH and Drai work pretty well together plus that's basically a top line on most other teams in the league.

What would he cost then? The caps don't seem to have much use for him over the next couple years considering they seem to be going into rebuild mode with the Kuzy and Wilson rumors.

Is he too good to play with a 128 point center then?

Wilson rumors are fake, both sides are working on an extension, and Kuzy being traded will be to bring in a top 6 option. Washington is planning on contending next year and likely the next 3 years (until Ovi's contract expires), so they won't have an incentive to trade Dowd.

What Wilson rumors? I follow the Caps pretty closely and haven't heard anything about him except our GM saying he wants him to finish his career as a Cap.

To add to what NoVaSpartan said, Dowd's really the only center on the Caps who can be relied upon defensively at this point with how Backstrom's deteriorated, and his 4th line has been one of the consistent strengths of this team as everything else fell apart. I don't think any team would be willing to pay a price for Dowd that'd make it worthwhile for the Caps to give him up.

That would hurt his morale to be under Holloway
