What the hell is that jackets trade?! They are already trying to trade away Boqvist. You dont give them assets you dont want to give away and need in return.

The Habs are waiting Dubois's contract out. And if by chance he gets traded to another team, he'll play the rest of the season there and then go to the Habs once his contract is over and he hits UFA

I would love to have Xhekaj for my blue jackets but sit back and think what your offering here. Just some friendly advice.

soft as butter. he'd be redundant on mtl. every GM in the league would sell their mother for Xhekaj and youre adding Kidney whos breaking records in the Q with top6 upside in the nhl for a kid that cant stay healthy and is only used on the pp. Boqvist minutes were low and the team had an ECHL defence. He had no trust from the coaches in CBJ

The Habs wont be close to the cap. Wasting a retention spot for a 5th rounder isnt great cap management when they can simply dump Hoffman in the minors at almost the same cost and save the retention spot which they should cash in for higher than a 5th or use for other assets to flip

He does have upside and has an excellent shot but I have been concerned how sheltered he has been. If he can stay healthy could very well be extremely valuable in right conditions but right now it's not at "this price"
