Agreed, but I'd rather not give up Buchelnikov. Massive progress this season. He tore up the Russian equivalent of the WHL and then went on to tear up the league in between ECHL and AHL. St Petersberg was not a success, but for a 19 year old playing on the men's team is pretty dang good. 10 games with a top KHL team says there is talent there.

Washington trade seems a little weak in comparison to the rest too.

I get it. I am not sold on Cat. Ottawa overpaid. This has Johnny Hockey all over it...little guy who has good seasons and average seasons at the salary of an elite center playing offensive hockey on the wing. He had a worse season this year playing on a much better team...not a good sign.

Tbh he was very unlucky, everytime there were grade A chances he’d miss or hit the post. He was way under his expected goals. And he didn’t look like he settled in ottawa properly. I think he’s closer to a 35 goals 75pts guy than a 27 goals 66pt guy. He also didn’t really play with any good centres all year cuz of the Norris injury and didn’t even see minutes with Stutzle except on the PP
