Garland a good player but with Savoie,Ostland and Rosen coming up he blocks a development spot plus few Rochester players. Only forward upgrades would be good 4th line centre like Dickinson or Acciari
Murphy good but Mayfield or Gudas better options

Selling short on Olofsson and I don't think you can do those retention, atleast that way. And rather keep Joker

I haven’t been a Joker fan but his play in new year has been really improved. Just be happier to see Bryson in Rochester

Hawks are not trading Murphy for anything short of a first round pick (or equivalent value), and even then, they will probably want a little more. There is no pressing need to trade him and they can retain to enhance value for teams more cap constrained.

So what is equivalent value ? What is the range. What if it's a 2nd round prospect that has taken off. You aren't getting anything high in the 1st.

I think Isak Rosen is the piece the Hawks would be interested in and there is nothing forcing the Hawks to trade Murphy (meaning they would need something enticing enough to pull the trigger on moving him).

I think you'll find most of us Hawks fans here are in agreement it'll take Rosen or equivalent value to move Murphy. This one is similar to McCabe to TOR along with Lafferty for a 1st and 2nd. There were picks and prospects added but this was the main part of the trade.

No worries....these AGM's are all just fan's opinions. My trade for sending Murphy to the Sabres would be for Isak Rosen, Jacob Bryson (moves a little cap and a RHD D to get one out of the way in Buffalo and fill a roster spot/roll in Chicago), and then swapping the Sens best 2nd rounder (Philly's) for the Hawk's worst 2nd (NYR unless they make the ECF and then it would be Tampa's). Rosen is that first round equivalent asset and slots in as probably the Hawks 3rd best forward prospect right behind whoever they take first this draft and Reichel. Moving up 13-20 spots in the 2nd is a nice little plus.
