Would the Flames have any interest in moving Markstrom? Assuming he would be willing to waive his NMC, how about a base package of what you have, but swap Vladar for Markstrom with 2mil in retention? Of course price could be adjusted, but I’m not sure what Markstrom with 2mil retained would get, especially with how he has played this year. Calgary gets to clear 4mil in cap (6mil if retention is done by 3rd team) and can get Wolf into the lineup and the Canes can get a goalie who has shown he can be an elite goalie.
