Looking forward you have Scandella's cap that can go toward a Hanifin extension as well as Bennett's cap that falls in line with the timing needed to retain Buch.

Felt that was fair in a guy that can log minutes now, a prospect expected to become a contributor, and the picks. What would be the realistic ask?

Which prospect are you referring to? Rosen is a plug and Loof is your run of the mill B prospect

I'd rather just trade Krug to Florida, Bennett is not needed.

The only problem is he presumably won't waive because he wants to be close to home. However, I'd certainly take the longer flights home to live in Miami. squinty smile

Lol not even close. The west coast in the old people village. Pb is rich and similar to Miami besides the clubs. Yeah there’s some just like Miami but other than the beach the rest of it is **** and you’ll sit in traffic for a hour to go a mile every day.

That offer won't get you Noah Hanifin, but assuming CGY & Hanifin don't strike a deal on an extension, how about this instead:

One of either Jake Neighbours, Zachary Bolduc or Zach Dean + Colton Parayko + either Joel Hofer or Vadim Zherenko + either Noah Beck or Tyson Galloway
FOR
Hanifin + Vladar + Adam Ruzicka

The median age in Palm Beach is 70, dude. SEVENTY. Half the city is over 50. I also do not agree with your notion that the only good thing in Miami is the beach. And I won't sit in traffic much at all, because I would ride my bike most of the time.

Lol no chance. That’s west coast. Not even. It’s over crowded. I dont cross the broward line unless I go to the dolphins game or the keys. Nothing worth driving two hours for 30 miles to anything down there.

I took those numbers straight from census data. So yeah way, buddy. It's literally an old comic's joke that Palm Beach is mostly retirees. If you don't like it, fine, but I can think of about a hundred better things to do than NFL, which is of less than no interest to me. To each his own I guess.

Too many pieces, and not really a great idea for the Blues. The idea is to put Hanifin with Parayko. Neighbors is highly unlikely to be moved. Kid has an edge to his game that I’d be shocked if they move him, not sure whether he’s gonna end up a 3rd liner or a 1st liner. But he brings value regardless that the Blues direly need. Bolduc has too high of a ceiling to trade especially for one year of Hanifin. Dean, I’m not too sure on how they view him or whether or not he’d be available. One of Zherenko or Hofer most likely is our goalie of the future and will likely allow us to keep Binningtons contract in a 1A, 1B situation. Other two players are decent prospects but nothing too special, would imagine they could be moved.

Hanifin is a great fit for what the Blues need. But they’d need to move a LD realistic comp to what you’re proposing in my mind would be like

Dean + Leddy + Beck/Galloway for Hanifin and Ruzicka

Still not sure it makes sense, also don’t believe Leddy would waive. But if a d man isn’t moved Hanifin is nothing more than a 1 year player which shouldn’t be the goal.

I don’t think a late 1st and a 2nd is an unrealistic ask for Hanifin. But adding on higher grade prospects and a very similar player while juggling the cap isn’t feasible.

Your proposal favours STL too much. CGY would get far more for Hanifin as a Rental at the TDL. Otherwise, I would assume if CGY is unable to extend Hanifin this off-season, he could be moved on a Sign & Trade, so would be coming with term to his next Team increasing the ask & return for CGY as well

CGY needs an RD to replace Tanev after 2023-24 and wouldn't be interested in taking back Leddy at all. Ruzicka's worth a late 1st or early 2nd by himself alone as well

Shoot for the stars my friend. Not gonna stop you.

I personally would peg Ruzickas value around a 3rd assuming there’s a reason to move him/a team to really want him. Seems like a dime a dozen bottom 9 guy. Not bad, but you don’t pay for those unless they excel in certain areas.

You would get most value out of trading Hanifin this off-season. Proposing a sign and trade doesn’t really do much aside from give the safety to the team. But I don’t think it’s gonna be much more than you would trading him purely as a rental.
