No reason to be giving up Timmins. He's been playing incredibly well, and I think the only reason why he's not playing now, is that he needs a contract next year. Expect him to be a regular next year, possibly even if they do acquire a Dman with term.

So what? Tampa trades their two firsts last year, is their future doomed? Can always draft more guys that have potential, or trade players we are for more picks. Time to go for it, McCabe isn’t a rental, Meier should be able to be flipped at the draft to a team that can resign him.

I'd venture to say Timmons is more important to the Leafs then he would be to Chicago. Same can be said of Neimela. Include Robertson + (2) 3rds or Minten.
