At what point will Canucks fans recognize that Boeser, with his production and cap hit, won't return anything of value. I think a best case scenario would be a change of scenery trade where the Canucks get someone else's problem.

I'd take Ekman Larson for a 6th if 2 million is saved in salary retention. Best case scenario is he regains his form. Worst case, he gets traded again with more salary retention.

Anaheim wouldn't take this deal, we'd be lugging around an aging OEL while our competition window is open and we have no shortage of LHD in the pipeline.

Chicago might take him for that though. May not even want the retention.
