Sounds like Chychrun could be an Oiler

Description
I know this could be a bunch of horsecrap but Chychrun has removed the Coyotes off of both his twitter and instagram bios, so expect a trade most likely. Conner Mcdavid also followed him on twitter I believe it was. I could be sniffing glue but this may be a sign. The asking price is also still at a propsect and the value of two first round picks. A trade announcment could be made Monday according to rumours. Hamblin callup is to play if needed until we get to playoffs and then im confident Yamomoto will return. Also would not mind Holland trading for some depth forwards like Bjugstead or Lafferty as long as its maybe a couple late round picks to aquire them.

Drop the retention, add bjugstad. Then add foegele and add a 2nd. You’re getting much more salary relief that way, while adding one of the more sought after bottom 6 players this deadline.

Wouldn’t shock me if McDavid told Kenny to get chychrun, I doubt he cares about draft picks or broberg, he wants to win and do it now

I would not mind that. Mcdavid deserves to win so as much as it would suck we need to put all cards on the table.

Doesn’t make sense to me that he’s holding back for a long term plan. You’ve got mcdrai, there is no long term plan other than do what it takes to win with that core. I’m sure he was hoping the price would come down, but that’s not likely with how he’s been playing

I agree with you but he's probably worried about affording McDavid, Draisaitl, and Chychrun on their next contracts but they might as worry about that later since he might not even be around still.

The other concern is probably paying the hefty ask when considering his injury history.

Going all in doesn't mean not being smart. He will make sure he has cap room for those guys if need be. Just not gonna have a lot of future assets thats all.

Because that is about the value their asking and the Oilers would get a true top 4 and arguably top pairing defensman on a stellar contract for 2 more years after this season. Puljujarvi is being considered a cap dump too right now which I don't agree with but it is what it is. It costs good to get good. If your talking arizonas veiw well two first rounders and a prospect was at one point the asking price and broberg is a quality prospect as well. Let me know what you mean.

I agree with this sort of. Broberg will take 2-3 years to be as good as Chychrun though. Oilers need to win now and need a good defensman now. If we had time to wait this wouldn't be an issue.

Yep as if we go by that Toronto would be the team as after that tweet came out this was seen lul





It will be interesting to see where he goes. Will it be Edmonton, Toronto or a US team 0 idea but its not the best to go by. Unless that is a guy says in an interview where he would like to play and has that full NTC or M-NTC like what we saw from Giordano
