  1. Smith, Craig

Détails additionnels:
3.1 for the remainder of the season. The idea here is to move cap and free a roster slot.

BOS
  1. Domi, Max
Détails additionnels:
I like the idea of Domi playing in Boston. He can play on both the C and LW, and can play anywhere along your top 9.

Rumours are the bruins are in pursuit of Horvat, but it's a steep price to pay, and the Bruins couldn't afford to keep him. With the team they have now, they can make a final run, so an affordable player is more likely to be acquired.
CHI
  1. Locmelis, Dans [Liste de réserve]
  2. Choix de 4e ronde en 2023 (BOS)
Détails additionnels:
Locmelis, at 5'10, is a 4th round pick who is having himself a decent season in in the Swe-Jr league.
He's a good two-way player with good skating and puck movement. He could prove to be an upgrade on Domi.

For a High-C tier prospect and a 4th, I think the price is rathe reasonable. (If there's 0 retention on Domi)

P.S, sorry Hawks fans, but I doubt Domi gets a higher price than Toews.

Domi should get about the same as toews. A 2nd rounder.

Doubt he fetches a 2nd atp. A 3rd (or in this case, this proposed trades equivalent of a 3rd) without retention should be enough.

ATP? This is the problem with widespread acronym use.

Domi probably a healthy scratch when debrusk is back. Not sure that’s worth it.

Widespread acronym use? Are you 35 lmao?

Domi most definitely would not be a healthy scratch. He has the ability to play anywhere in that top 9. It's just bulking for one last run. I think he's one of the better, cheaper candidates for that.

What does atp mean?

What are you that thinks 35 is that old (I’m not by the way, but getting there), 14? Not everything needs an acronym, you can just use words.

Not sure if you’ve noticed this, but the bruins top nine has been pretty good. When healthy, domi isn’t bumping anyone out. He’s not getting a fourth line role. He’s a healthy scratch. No thanks.

Rather have Locmelis. Full health the only person Domi is bumping in the top 9 is Trent Frederic, and Frederic has good chemistry with Coyle and Hall.

ATP means "at this point". I'm not 14, I just don't treat CapFriendly like my English papers.

The top 9 has been pretty good. The bottom 6 has been shuffled around a bit, I've noticed.
Domi would be a pretty good insurance marker. Players get injured often in the playoffs. Nosek is already out for a month, and who's to say Debrusk doesn't re-aggravate his "hand and lower body injuries",
Bergeron and Krejci are up there in age, what happens if one of them tweaks something? Will they play through it?

You never know in the playoffs. Domi, is a pretty good and affordable player for what he's worth. I would definitely slot him somewhere in that top 9 as is. He's shown (with Kane) he can produce alongside good players. Boston has those players.

I don't disagree with that 3rd line, but Hall needs better production for the 6m he's making. He played alongside Marchand and Bergeron for a bit, but was bumped down for Debrusk, (you can't blame that though, that top 6 is booming) and his production has slowed down. Domi could bring more spark to that 3rd line once Debrusk comes back. It wouldn't be a terrible move to have Frederic play on the 4.

Oh my that’s lazy.

The bruins third line, when healthy, has been remarkably consistent. Hall - Coyle - Frederic. I don’t think they want to disrupt that. Agreed that Domi would be an okay insurance policy for injury, but when the teams healthy, he’s a healthy scratch.

Going after an injury insurance policy makes sense, but i would prefer someone with more defensive structure than domi.

Over the last two seasons, Hall has played exactly 3:58 of TOI together. I'd imagine most of that is from line changes too. DeBrusk took over the 1RW role last season mid-way through the year. Hall has been playing 3LW for most of the season. Now and again he'll move up to 2LW is Monty feels they need to shake it up. Hall is on pace for 53pts playing predominantly a 3rd line role. He's earning his $6 million a year when you factor in his 200ft play

I would much prefer the bruins go out and get a big booming defensemen like Schenn or someone of that nature. The whole forward group has been excellent all year, I don't think we really need an upgrade in that position. At full health one of Greer or Smith is sitting, and the AHL has guys like Wags, Mclovin, and Kopp, so I wouldn't be too worried about acquiring depth for the forward group this year. Defense however has been questionable at times, and having another rugged guy is always good for the playoffs.
