3) Build a trade package that helps the Sens now and in the future

Most teams can't afford his qualifying offer without sending cap back to the Sens. I really don't think his trade value is that, as it's really going to be just an exchange of cap. And without a signed extension, he's really a RFA with one year to go to being a UFA.

He is RFA come July- so they could recoup some value….but still not the way they should be looking to go. This year TDL should really be about under the radar deals to improve depth…and add a mid 6 RW only if a deal is there that doesn’t cost more than they got back in the Zuc deal.

I cannot imagine that Ottowa gave up the 7OA pick plus a 2nd and a 3rd in order to not keep him long term.

He's not on a 40+ goal pace but he could hit 30. the forward core got a lot of new big pieces, it can take time for chemistry to develop and guys to mesh with the system.

Good question, I guess he has to commit to playing defence. Also 5 V 5 for Ottawa has been terrible and he racks up a lot of PP pts so I guess his line is getting outscored 5 V 5

No one else on the team is even in the same zip code as him with +/-, The next closest guy is Pinto at -17, but Batherson is -29..... very confusing.
