The Kings could just sign Pasta at the end of this season, which they won't. I don't understand the point of the Kings doing this. The lose a 30 goal scorer, 1st, and a top prospect for a rental they don't need?

Agree with everything except calling Turcotte a top prospect.

Even with concussion history, he's still one of the King's most valuable prospects as far as his ceiling as a top-6 center.

Maybe it's sunken cost, but I don't see the Kings moving him for a 2nd rounder or similar after finding later success in players like Kempe and Vilardi.
