This is not a "need to make panic moves" season, IMO. Trading off premium assets for rentals isn't a place the Avs should go and I can't see CMac or Sakic going for that.

That's also waaay too much for a rental and if Horvat (a supposed 1/2C who has made something of a name for himself at the dot) hadn't dominated JTC (a 3RW/C not known for FO prowess) in the circle I'd have been pleasantly shocked. Schenn is 7D on a healthy Avs team and the 3rd is meh. Not something the Avs should even be considering.
