I'd say Zub for OTT, Gavrikov for CBJ and Kotkaniemi for CAR, Boeser for VAN. Kerfoot is more mid than Järnkrok on the Leafs.

Clifton's a weird choice for me, he's been playing well and is cheap. I feel like Tomas Nosek would be the most mid guy - just kinda there, gets paid a little more than you want for what he does.



Jarnkrok's term & NTC drag him back down to mid for me, he's never been more than a 35 point player in his career and that deal is out of whack for that kinda player IMO

To eAch their own definition of mid but I think he fills his role pretty well. For me it's a player who is supposed to be doing something but isn't - Kerfoot was brought in to be a legit top 6 guy, not a 3rd line checking forward. Hoffman was brought in to be a PP sniper, not a do-nothing.

I don't think Kerfoot was brought in as a legit top 6... an established middle 6 more like-- Barrie was the prize on the Kadri trade, Kerfoot was meant to be a 3C replacement realistically, that would work on special teams.

Both Kerfoot and Jarnkrok play to their contract. Both mediocre, but not breaking the bank either.... I suppose that would make them mid in any case.
