isles won’t be adding at the deadline and no one is giving up a first for a cap dump anyway

Kings might be interested in Edmundson, but no one else on this list, especially a winger like Dadonov.

Monahan seems fine, not sure if Minny is the right fit.

Drouin and Dadonov are scraps now, they had a chance to rekindle their careers, and both should just be benched and go to Russia next year.

Montreal trading for Pool-party then to flip him for a 4th doesn't make a lot of sense, Edmundson would likely garner a first given the demand for a player like him, add salary retention too.

Isles are in a tough spot due to injuries, bringing in another big contract would likely only be problems for them long term.

Unless a forward is going out, we can't bring one in.
Puljujärvi is underwhelming at best, but *maybe* in a 1 for 1, for a low value player, fine.

Exactly what I was about to say. In principle, this is a steal for Detroit. In practice, there is already a logjam up front. Who does Detroit move in another teade, and what value do they get back? Zadina is much like JP, but still better. Fabbri has had 2 knee injuries in 2 years, but when he is healthy, he is a great top 9 utility player, and Detroit would be selling low. Sundqvist may already be getting squeezed out due to a numbers game but I'd really prefer to keep him. I'd be happy to see Erne go, but Stevie really likes him for some reason. Kubalik is great value for one more year, so unless tbe return is over the top, he should stay. Bertuzzi is anyone's guess, too many variables on his health, value, contract ask, etc but I think everyone would like to keep him at a reasonable cap hit. Rasmussen is having a heck of a streak right now, and it doesn't look like it is luck; the progression has been apparent for the last year and a half. I think we all know Soderblom and Berggren belong, and Veleno has been looking good lately (though he is my candidate to get cold first).

JP would be a great flyer to take, but man, there is just no space.

No one wants Andersson. The Islanders didn't want him at the draft, they aren't going to want him at the deadline. Give it up already.

I don't know JP without McDavid is kind of like Abdelkader without Datsyuk.

Detroit has to many wingers as it is. Value is fine just not the fit unless we trade several away.
