Miller is an elite defender who skates like the wind and is 6-5. He provides decent offense too. It’s not as wild a take as u think. Meanwhile Durzi produces similarly to Hughes offensively in terms of point production.

I take it you haven’t watched much of the Sabres recently, Dahlin has been good in his end all year, and was doing pretty well at the end of last season too. He’s a +16 on the Season, leading the Sabres. (For comparison, Hughes is a -2, the 4th best +\- of the Canucks defenseman)

That’s an absolutely awful take. Hughes is closer to Dahlin than Dobson/Miller/Durzi are to Hughes.

The idea Hughes is better than Dobson is low key hysterical. I can admit that Durzi is a stretch, but Miller isn’t.

Dahlin and Hughes are the same age bud. Drafted in the same year. Dahlin also has a fantastic stabilizing partner in Samuelsson. Don’t act like he is a stud 2 way d man. His defense is mediocre

You’ve never watched a canucks game in your life. You’re probably still living in 2020 thinking that Hughes is bad. Hughes is significantly more talented offensively, and is just slightly worse defensively. I’ve watched Dahlin. He is a stud. I wanted the Canucks to tank for him in 2018. He is still amazing but he is in the same tier as Hughes. He is not higher. Maybe this season, but this 30 game sample size doesn’t outweigh their entire careers

Cozens is great on and off the ice. Sabres are already set at top pairing defensemens with Power and Dahlin, both young and playing great hockey with potential to grow.

The problem is too many people equate scoring with being a good dman. Hughes has good positioning in his own end but is not physical and self admittedly not the best defender
