    Dadonov - nothing. He’s a cap dump

Drouin - also nothing. Cap dump. I’d be interest in signing him to a PTO next summer though.

Hoffman - nothing. Cap dump. Also brutal that his contract has another year.

Monahan - a mid round pick maybe

Edmundson - not a good fit for Colorado, but bottom pairing PK vets always end up fetching like a 3rd and a b prospect.

No thank you. Rather just keep him then. Just put him on there because of a TSN report today that the Oilers are interested in him. Knowing Holland, he'll give us a 1st for Eddy because he's big

Just used Buffalo as an example. Not saying they'd be interested in him

    Wrong.
Brett Kulak got a 2nd rounder last season and he was healthy scratch a lot of nights.
Edmundson isnt bottom a pairing D. Nice try. See ya later.

The difference between “like a 3rd and a B prospect” and a 2nd is pretty marginal. Not sure that’s much of a gotcha.

On pretty much any contender, Edmundson is going to be a bottom pairing PK guy. There’s always a market for veterans like that, so I don’t doubt he’ll be easy to move if his injury issues don’t bubble up.

I would guess his price will be around the same as Josh Manson was last year. Similar players. Manson got a 2nd rounder and a B prospect in return. Could be a bit lower of a return, Just depends on how many D will be on the trade market and as you mentioned the injury issues

Monahan is a candidate to re-sign if it's cheap and/or short term. He'd probably have to return at least a 3rd to force that decision and let him go instead. (Retained of course.)

Edmundson will garner more than most people here will be willing to admit despite examples to that effect on an annual basis. 2nd+ easily but the ceiling depends on his relative ranking along available options.
We also don't have to move him this year, but could get more because he's not a pure rental, especially if retaining.

The most likely scenario for Hoffman to move, is a team adding to a player they want to unload and bringing in Hoffman instead. The reverse is also a possibility.
Either Hoffman for a bad player plus, or Hoffman plus for a not necessarily good but potentially better for us player.

The others we'd be lucky to get peanuts for. No team is desperate enough to pay even the required price for retention outside of a miracle turnaround for them.

You arent getting it. Kulak was in/out of the lineup last year. He's barely an nhl'r. He was UFA.

Edmundson plays top pair minutes. 2 year term at a reasonable cap hit for 2 playoff runs.

They arent close to the same player or value. Thus a 3rd as an expectation in a Edmundson trade is a delusional take when Kulak got a 2nd and 7th.
