adding to the team without giving up guys who are pushing the needle forward whelst trying to stay young.
biggest needs are goaltending, Defensive depth on right side, bottom 6 production.

I wouldn't do that Hart trade if I'm Buffalo. Just stay the course and Levi/Lukkonen/Portillo will be one hell of a group of goalies.

Edmonton says no, Buffalo says no to that 2nd deal. UPL or Portillo maybe but Levi is untouchable right now, especially as Hart has been pretty mediocre at best

Right idea - wrong player in the Murphy trade. Weissbach turns 25 in April. He doesn't fit the Hawks rebuild window at all age wise. Also not sure he's ever gonna be an everyday NHL'er. If the 2nd rounder is the Vegas pick (a late 2nd) Hawks will want a high end young F with top 6 upside. Think Neadeau, Bloom, Rosen type prospect.

I know you want to keep all your prospects, but CHI isn't taking BUF's scraps for our best defensive defenseman. If you can't include a late 1st, which it isn't looking like BUF will have any available (you could maybe bet on your 2024 1st being late, but that'd be risky), It should take a pretty good prospect to get Murphy done.

Mans really just traded both Portillo and LEVI to acquire an slightly above average goalie? Dude just sign a UFA and keep our elite goalie prospect. Portillo I'm not expecting to sign here, so deal him for a pick or a prospect

Why would the Flyers trade their young franchise goalie for prospects? He's a stud, and they have their own goalie prospect depth. You want Hart you're going to have to blow them away...this doesn't even get them on the phone.
