I think there are ways that Boston would be able to sign bo, especially if Bergeron and Krejci retire someone has to play centre

Once Bergeron and Krejci retire, Boston will be heading for a rebuild, Their window is closing in 1-2 years. No way i see Horvat signing with an aging team getting closer to a rebuild.

Don’t care how many times it’s posted, that trade is still declined by Boston. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Boston 'declines', could probably get a better package anyways
I don't think Buffalo wants Miller's extension, I'd honestly rather keep him
Garland>Beau
Not sure if we can get a first for boeser rn
OEL costs assets to move
I think LA would rather just leave Cal in the A for a while than trade a 1st to dump him

Boston passes, They wont deal Lysell for Horvat.
Buffalo isn't making the playoffs, So why would they give up a 2023 1st for JT Miller?
Brock Boeser at full value isn't getting no 1st round pick back.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson isn't waiving for St Louis. And the last thing the Blues need is another expensive Dman
Most of those trades aren't remotely realistic.

-Boston's not clearing out their best prospect and their best chance at another good prospect for a rental in Horvat; as said upthread, either Bergeron & Krejci come back for one more year making a Horvat return superfluous, or those guys retire and Boston doesn't extend a 28 year old pending UFA as it enters a rebuild.

-Buffalo shouldn't be trading this year's 1st, and they certainly shouldn't be bringing in a soon to be 30 year old with a 7 year extension that hasn't even kicked in yet. Also think it's poor form for Vancouver to trade a guy a few months before his extension (and its full NMC) kicks in, so you're stuck with JT for now.

-Lateral move for both teams that gets decline in-season. Garland is probably a little better than Beau, sure, but has the higher cap hit and is older; it also doesn't make sense from the Vancouver end to swap out middle-6 guys on their 2nd contracts when they're trying to rebuild.

-Schenn & Burroughs values are in the ballpark; I think Burroughs gets a late 4th/early 5th as a depth guy, Schenn gets a 3rd from a contender. Not sure if these wind up being the destinations but the prices seem right.

-Boeser doesn't fit on Minnesota's cap; it wouldn't make sense for Minnesota to add a struggling winger's $6.65M cap hit over the next 3 years - the 3 worst years of the Parise/Suter buyouts- much less give up a premium asset for him. I don't think Boeser's a cap dump necessarily, I just think this is a terrible team to target for any type of return.

-For the next 4 years (at least) the Blues are paying a combined $23.5M for the top 4 of Parayko, Krug, Leddy, & Faulk, with an extra $3.275 of Marco Scandella thrown in this year and next. Why are the dedicating another $6.2M to the blueline? This is an easy pass for them, and on the Canucks side, it doesn't make sense to bail on OEL if you're going full rebuild as well. Just keep him around as a veteran presence to keep things steady with your prospects, help you get to the cap floor, and maybe turn into a rental asset at the end of his deal. Makes more sense than tying up one of your three retention slots for the next 3 years on a guy you don't really need to move.

-You realize Collin Delia isn't an NHL caliber goaltender, right? He's 28 with a career .904 SV% and 3.66 GAA over 33 games. I could picture the Kings thinking about giving up their 1st and Petersen if they were getting back a decent goalie, but Delia is literally the type of guy they could go out and sign right now off the street and get that type of production. Pass for the Kings.

Interesting shakeup trade for NYI. I think I'd do it, but it'd be better as a bigger deal involving other pieces.
