Carter is 37 and has a full NMC. My guess is he's not waiving anywhere and moving his family again. Maybe at next year's deadline if the Pens are sellers, but not this year.

Even if he would waive, there is no way he can handle #2 center duties.

It’s Pens fans who have been proposing this trade. He doesn’t have to move his family, but that’d be a personal choice and reuniting him with Sutter, Toffoli, Lucic & Lewis may appeal to him. Since I have Lucic retiring in this proposal maybe he sticks around as a player consultant or what have you

I haven’t see evidence that he can’t but there are plenty of ways to shelter his minutes to keep him rested & healthy if need be

Drop him to lines 3 or 4 or replace him in the lineup from time to time = load management

Guys old, but still skilled. Pavelski, Burns and Parise are all 37 and they’re still contributing offensively and putting in good minutes
