Why would Anaheim want any of those three players? Gibson is clearly superior to Murray, Nathan Gaucher and Benoit-Olivier Groulx are superior prospects to Moldenhauer, and Jacob Perreault and Sam Colangelo are much, much better prospects than the smurf.

Leafs are infinitely better having 6.5m in Samsonov and Murray than 7.2m in Gibson and Kallgren.
Leafs are no better this season with the trades, and lose in prospects and picks. Yea major trades, but why would the Leafs do them?

Sorry pal, never believe what a GM, coach or player says publicly. What else would he say?...."I want the Ducks to trade me". Now maybe Gibson doesn't want to be traded or be a Leaf, but he certainly wasn't going to throw his team under the bus, by saying, "Yeah, I wouldn't mind be traded?"
Not saying the Ducks like the deal but why would the Leafs? As Shania Twain sang, "Your 4.33 GAA, .888 save percentage, don't impress me much."
