The Kreider - Zib - Kakko line was doing completely fine over their 13 games, I don't understand the point in changing that line up. So the first thing I'd do is reunite them.

I'd also give Panarin - Trocheck - Kravtsov another shot. I don't like Laffy being out of the top 6, but I think that line could benefit from a natural RW, However, I'm not saying we should be promoting Vesey or Gauthier if this doesn't work, put Laffy back in that case and hope for the best.

For the third line, I'd love to try Laf on the left, with Chytil and Vesey. I think that line could genuinely work, as long as it gets a decent amount of ice time. Chytil has been playing well and needs some real talent to play with, other than Goodrow or Blais.

For the 4th line, give us a line that can actually forecheck for ****. Call up Rydahl, he's been good in Hartford and is our best hope for a revitalised 4th line. Put him with Gauthier or Carpenter on the right, and Goodrow on the left.


The d-core really just needs some structure. The pieces are fine but they just need to play better.
