Yeah it's great for Philly, not good for Calgary and horrible for Montreal. So let's just cut Philly out and work out a deal to get Josh Anderson to Calgary!
No way Montreal is going to retain salary on Anderson (too much term left on his contract) so Montreal would have to take Toffoli back in return to make the cap work for Calgary.
While I love Toffoli I don't think Hughes would want him back after trading him less then one year ago. But there room to do something with Calgary.
MTL need veterans defense presence right now and one that could fit the bill is Nikita Zadorov who while a left hand player can play well into RD side of the game and have a good defense sens also physical presence.
Other d-men interesting would be Oliver Kylington but at the moment he's injure and don't know when he would come back.
For helping Calgary with salary mtl could accept Lucic Contract which would free 5,2m this year and if we taking Zadorov that another 3,7m this year out and next year.
So as a base the idea could be Anderson vs Lucic with one of Kylington or Zadorov.
Now one prospect who I found interesting and with the fact we lost your franchise goalkeeper is Dustin wolf. Could he be an interesting goalie to become mtl number one or two in case of an duo with Primeau ??
The problem is that I know Hughes/Gorton like Anderson and his player style as not many player in the league play like that (player as similar style: Mantha, Kreider,Greenway) so to get him out of mtl I think there will need to be a huge deal made and I don't think team would want to do that.
