C'mon, you know this is a terrible proposal and there is no chance of the Isles trading their 22 year old stud defenseman.

Yeah.,.....this is pretty bad. I like how you added a bunch of plugs to try and sweeten the deal though.

Dobson is a #1. Carlo cannot drive his own pair, he needs someone to move the puck to play with him. Dobson does everyone well, he’s an elite point producer and great at 5v5, PP and the PK. He also has one of the best penalty differentials among defenseman, drawing penalties at an elite rate and Rarely takes any.

Calling him a number one is just delusional. If he was a true number one, he wouldn’t have signed that contract, and the islanders wouldn’t be bad.

Lou lamoriello always squeezes young players without arbitration rights. Dobson had no leverage.

From January to now, Dobson ranks 5th in pts behind only Makar, Carlson, Hedman, and Josi. 15th overall in scoring last season. Elite all situations D who plays 20+ min against top competitions.

The numbers don’t lie, seems like you’re the one who’s delusional considering your counter arguments are terrible

Theres more to hockey than points. He’s not a number one, nor is he particularly close. He might get there though. The guys 22 and has all the potential in the world.

You don’t know what a #1 defenseman is than. He plays top pair minutes in all situations and drives play at an elite level

Don’t know who Carlos is.

Brandon carlo is a nice solid 3, who has played the role of a 2 pretty well years prior.

Cool, Bruins very much like Carlo. They see him as part of their next wave of leadership, which is evident by him wearing an "A" the past couple seasons. Carlo is the Bruins PK horse and averages just under 3 minutes a night on the PK. A PK by the way that ranks top 3 over the last 3 years. Dobson averages less than 30 seconds on the PK, so now Boston needs to find someone to eat up Carlo's PK minutes. To add to this, 43% of Dobson production last year came via the PP where he led the Islander in PP TOI. He's not getting that kind of PP TOI in Boston with McAvoy already in the fold. Dobson likely gets PP2 minutes which means he see his PP TOI drop by roughly half.

This isn't a knock on Dobson, he's a fantastic player. He just doesn't fit what Boston needs based on their current roster.

Well the good news is now you’re only wrong one way. Well, you forgot a comma, but we’ll let it slide.
