Jeannot scored 24 goals in his first full season as an undrafted player. He is 25 and and a soon to be RFA making 800k this year. He can score, forecheck, fight, lay hits.

What? Kerfoot had PP time? + inflated stats playing alongside tavares. Saying Kerfoot is better defensively is a REACH considering Jeannot is really good defensively. Jeannot scores 20+ goals on the 3rd line playing with glorified 4th liners. He’s younger, cheaper and has a higher ceiling.

Not to mention Kerfoot is on the open trade market and probably won’t get you more than a late 3rd at best.
