I don't see the need for Iafallo and his cap hit. But I can see validity in a Durzi/Sandin Swap.
I don't see why we trade Engvall. He was great last year. I also don't see why Chicago sends us a 2nd round pick for those 2 guys.
Kerfoot to Winnipeg or another team is possible for sure. Hard to judge value. In normal times he is worth a lot more than a 4th. Currently who knows.

I don't see Gaudette AND Malgin being on the opening night roster. I can see one of them being in the lineup or as the 13th forward. I strongly doubt it is Gaudette.

Robertson, Anderson and Steeves will get looks at some point.

Not being mean, but why would CHI make this trade from your point of view?

Considering that LA and Chicago shoot down those offers instantly, it doesn’t make any sense. As for Kerfoot, a 3rd or 4th should be able to get him.

I see 0 reason for LA to say no to this deal, their top 6 is stuffed & moving Iafallo allows them to sign their remaining RFA’s whilst tackling a place of need

Chicago is tanking, so getting 2 cheap guys with high upside whilst only trading a very late 2nd or 3rd sounds appealing, It fills depth with capable guys not just filler

Yes because what they need is an overrated LHD, who hasn’t even earned an opportunity in the top 4. Durzi is already a stud, and will very likely continue to grow. I’m guessing your breakdown is Sandin + 3rd for Durzi, and Iafallo for a 1st. For what Durzi can become, Toronto would have to add a bit more to that, and Iafallo can probably draw more. Sandin has potential, but until he starts showing it, LA is better off not taking that deal.

Just because you changed it to Arizona doesn’t change the fact that neither Chicago nor Arizona are giving up a 2nd or 3rd for 2 cap dumps. If anyone is giving up the picks, it would be Toronto.

From a cap perspective for LA, maybe they’d think about that but otherwise it wouldn’t happen. I’d say them not wanting to trade Durzi in that deal makes it a greater than 0 chance they wouldn’t do this trade

How are two guys making less than 3 mil cap dumps, they are good players, if other teams can dump more money without losing additional assets why can’t the Leafs?

Also Durzi a stud?, He is on an overpopulated right side on LA & their Left side is very underwhelming, Sandin has shown Top 4 potential but just doesn’t have guaranteed playing time which imo neither does Durzi with Roy & Doughty + Walker, Spence ready to take up the Right side. Also Durzi has less than 70 games under his belt, that is way too small of a sample to call someone a stud, i think there is just clear Bias here as the issue is not if Sandin is good cause he is & has Top 4 Potential, Durzi same concept I just think you are highly overrating a guy after one season which was honestly an Ok season, other than that Iafallo has fallen out of the Top 6 imo as I’d suspect something along the lines of
Fiala-Kopitar-Arvidsson
Moore-Danault-Kempe as LA’s top 6 which makes Iafallo expendable

27 points as a rookie on the third pairing, I don’t think LA wants to trade Durzi with the high potential he has. As for Iafallo being expendable, how many times do you see great players who should be in the top 6 play in the bottom 6 because of depth? Hell, Vancouver is an excellent example of that. Sandin has only played parts of 3 seasons, and in a total of 88 games has amassed 28 points. Durzi, as I said prior, amassed 27 points as a rookie, only playing in 64 games. And if we add playoff points to the totals, over the course of Durzi’s career so far, he has actually outscored Sandin 30-29 in terms of point production. LA has a lot of RHD prospects, but unless they get a worthwhile haul for Durzi, they won’t trade him. That isn’t a worthwhile haul. I mean, LA will probably move one of Walker, Roy, or Spense before they move Durzi, just because of the high upside that he brings. You can glorify Sandin all you want, but as it stands, Durzi is the better player, and the more established player. You can try arguing that Sandin is more established, but I will point out that Sandin hasn’t been a consistent part of the Leafs roster for parts of 3 seasons, whereas Durzi was penciled into the Kings roster for most of the season.

Durzi was pencilled into the line-up because of Doughty & Walker being injured,Also Sandin brings just as much upside to his game as Durzi

Sandin CF% 55
Durzi CF% 52

Sandin CA 677
Durzi CA 867

Sandin GF 38
Durzi GF 37

Sandin creates just as much if not more offensively then Durzi, Points don’t tell the story, as well Sandin is a very reliable defender & has that same Top 4 Potential as Durzi, Except you call one a Stud & one is not according to you. Also Roy is better than Durzi & Sandin combined, he is a future Top 2 Guy not a Top 4
