I think that Anaheim will wait and see how well Max Comtois recovers from his injury before trading him.
As badly mismanaged a team as Las Vegas is, I don't see them trading a pretty decent LhD for a third and a forward prospect who has played 94% fewer games in the NHL than Hague but is only 10 months younger.
Arizona is a team that is taking cap dumps in return for incentives and are cheaper than their cap hits (like Alex Kerfoot, for example). Hoffman is under water on his $4.5 million cap hit by a million dollars.
In General i agree and this trade is crap
But the context might all depend on what Hague feels he's worth
Romanov was the # guy MSL relied on for minutes as soon as he joined MTL
He was his guy and seemed untouchable until he said he wanted to go to Arbitration .
That said Hague isnt likely to sit out instead he's more likely to sign a 1 year deal to get him to Arbitration.
Given how little loyalty VGK has shown its players especially its Top Guys , you figure he's in no rush to do them favors at his expense.
Ylonen im not willing to give up for him though.
He's just too good and able to play on every line
What i loved is how his coach used him last playoffs
Like Lehkonen or Pitlick he just doesnt stop checking
There was many times his line would change and he'd stay on
Play 1st then jump on the 3rd for 4th to help them out.
That said in context they had little choices given MTL made half their roster ineligible for playoffs with longterm call ups.
They also had Norlinder playing 4th line Center at one point and everything short of dressing Poulin as a forward lol
They were doing all they could to support Primeau who was Carrying his team to the playoffs like Price did with MTL for years with crap rosters.
It did show the world how Versitile some players can be as Ylonen and Norlinders stocks shot up
After the TDL he'll join MTL and stay there , thats if he doesnt push out someone and take their job(Pezzetta nor Slavkosky's positions are secured, both could end up in Laval)
