You can arguably fit Kadri, Dobson and Romanov in without moving another player.

Kadri: $6x7. Way too much term for a soon to be 32 year old that plays a physical game, however, his market has seemingly dried up and if he wants to strike a contract while the iron is hot here's a cool $42m. Kadri doesn't risk a 1 year deal like Klingberg due to his age/style of play. Lou gives this to him because well, he's Lou. Kadri's AAV is down by being stretched out, and helps keep the window open a little longer before the back end of the contract is an anchor. The cap will have risen sharply by then so all of it will be "eaten" away to an extent

Dobson: $3x2. Pulock had 10-22-32pts in 68 games the season prior to the $2x2 that Lou negotiated. Dobson just posted 13-38-51pts in 80 games. Of those 80 games, he only really lit up on the second half of the season. He definitely deserves a raise, but let's see by how much. The cap was $3m less at the time Pulock signed his deal. The similarities between Dobson/Pulock situations are there. We have something to benchmark a Dobson deal against. That's all I'm saying.

Romanov: $1.5x2. Basically the same argument above with Pulock getting $2x2. Romanov is a different player but production wise he is not at a Pulock level. Romanov more than doubles his salary off the ELC, gets top-4 minutes and his deal expires right as the salary cap should pop by $8-9m. The KHL is not a real threat here. He's already back in North America skating in Isles gear. Let's be honest his contract is probably already signed.
