I’ve never seen you say you’d accept a major trade for an Isles player

Most of the trades being proposed are for the Isles best young players. Teams are not looking to trade their best young core players for futures unless they are in a rebuild like Chicago. If proposals were being made for Nelson, Pageau, Bailey, Palmeri then fans would be more accepting of the trades.

Raty may be a great player, but not this year. The Isles are not in a rebuild, they are actively trying to compete. Trading their 1C for futures would go against everything they are doing.

I made this for 23-24, which if you miss the playoffs again means there will be a big decision to make. You have an older team and a weak prospect pool

Isles prospect pool isn’t that weak. We have Raty lol.

This isn’t a major trade proposal. This is two prospects who aren’t worth Barzal, a second line winger and two second round picks. This is horrendous and you know it

Two forwards who are first rounders including one that was just drafted. Garland is an upgrade over someone like Beauvillier. The players traded here are better than. any prospect you have not named Raty

He is the only prospect you have that is considered a potentially elite player

If that happens you start to move out the older players. The Isles could move on from both Nelson and Pageau to bring in Raty and keep Barzal. Personally I’d rather have Barzal at 8.5 for the next 8, with Nelson or Pageau traded and bring Raty in then the package offered.

How many teams in the nhl have an elite starter, 3 elite defenseman and 4 good centers? And how many of those teams miss the playoffs? Adding Romanov and getting healthy will get the isles back to the playoffs. Thx for playing tho.

How many elite players are there lol? Isles need one of Dufour, Holmstrom, Bolduc or Odelius to hit and they r fine lol.

No it isn't, you clearly don't know who Podkolzin or Lekkerimaki are. Could have picked the latter at 13 if Lou kept his 1st

You running away? Pelech, Pulock and Dobson bro. You have Romanov and Salo over Greene + Chara. Now that they are healthy and have Sorokin they r fine.

I take the isles roster over the team with OEL and Poolman lmao

It’s not trash, Garland is a good player and Podkolzin is a good prospect. It’s just not the right pieces. Isles would either 1 for swap, or like you said a 1st with another elite prospect.

Would definitely revisit this after the season. If Johnson isn't looking like the center the Jackets kind of need him to evolve into then it's a very appealing proposal.

I really like Podkolzin and I like Lekkerimaki too. But I wouldn’t trade Barzal for them lol.

They aren’t offering a guy who will be worth as much as Barzal. Even if I think Podkolzin may be the next Nichushkin.

Dude I love Podkolzin’s game. I just don’t believe in trading centers for winger prospects.

I’ve actually praised him several times.

I agree, this is not the right pieces. But it is a solid package of futures.

Barzal either needs to be a 1 for 1 trade for a similar aged 1C. Or a package that offers a high first and top end prospect.

Okay, maybe you don't believe in trading Wingers for Center's and vise versa, but what if GM's don't share that sentiment?

Ur coming at me for the wrong reasons here. I don’t dislike either prospect. It about Barzal being a center. That and I think he’s worth more than this package.

There isn’t a center piece to this deal. Just a few nice players thrown together and a couple seconds. That’s why it’s a trash offer. That doesn’t mean the players suck
