The Devils are looking to trade AWAY forwards right now to allow Holtz a spot. While Miller is very good, truly ask yourself if sending out assets and even extending a 30yr old guy really makes sense for a team just approaching playoff contender status, and quite frankly isn't even fully there yet?

This is all Canadian and BS "insider" media wishful thinking based on the Devils having a solid RHD side now.

I take it your answer to this question is "Yes"?

A Severson plus (small piece) for Miller could be interesting hockey trade if both teams don’t extend. I don’t think that alone would be crazy out-to-lunch.

As for the addition, Mukhamadullin is too much. Maybe Bahl, Boqvist or Walsh or a pick (but not multiple pieces).

If there was a 3rd piece it would be a cap move like Johnsson.

The difference in value between Miller and Severson is a lot more than you think it is

I'm a Canucks fan and I'm not sure I agree. The market isn't paying much for forwards right now but RHD who can play top line minutes are always very difficult to acquire.

As much as we were all hoping Miller would bring in a haul, I think it's time to realize that isn't happening now or at the TDL.

Doesn’t explain the 7mths between now & then. Nobody can be this absolute. Today is not March 2023 by a long shot when so much can & will change before then.

We're just waiting for the Kadri shoe to drop, that will help provide a clearer picture on the forward market
