I think someone like Boqvist would be of more interest than Tatar who's now struggling on his 3rd NHL team (Vegas, Detroit, now Jersey). But in all honesty, you can have Bear for a 3rd and just call it a day. You're right, Carolina got Coghlan who is Bear but younger and cheaper.

With the uncertainty regarding McLeod, Boqvist wouldn't be on the cards for a trade rn as he'd be 3C or 4C, nor would any of the Devils younger forwards in a Bear trade.
I think the Devils might actually have to move some salary out here to make it all work, unless bear could come in at around 1 - 1.5m.

If anything pick should be coming from VAN. RHD are way more valuable than wingers rn

I think a McLeod termination may be premature. There were 23 guys on that team including some major superstars. There is no way NHL is banning them all without some sort of evidence first.

As I understand it, most of the guys are already cleared, McLeod isn’t one of them.
Since this is an ongoing process likely to take some time, I’m not sure that McLeod is allowed to enter camp or play for the organization until he gets the clear (or convicted ig).
