That is trading Miller for nothing. There is no guarantee Coronato or the picks (who may not even make the NHL) sign in Vancouver. You have to get at least one signed player back

Canucks decline. If Calgary wants Miller, they have to way overpay him compared to other teams. If a team offers a first, Calgary has to offer 2 firsts. Just no way Allvin trades a star player like Miller to a divisional rival for cheap

Cornato is a stud.... However this sucks for both teams. Calgary doesn't need a UFA center, and Vancouver could get a haul for him outside the division.
