Is Calgary gonna trade Lindholm to Columbus too?!?!?!
Calgary shouldn’t make a single ****ing deal with Columbus unless they think it will make CBJ worse.

Trading Nyquist gives them $11+ mil in cap space. Laine is going to be signed just fine.

Make the trade Nyquist and Laine for Tkachuk and Jarmo’s sends it to the league before Calgary even has a chance to reconsider.

My thoughts are if Tkachuk does not want to remain in Canada then I would like to see a trade for another young superstar forward rather then futures. Might be best for both parties

Maybe. There are those who believe Boone Jenner might be a 1C, and he’ll likely get another shot this year. He looked pretty good last season, he’s just not a playmaker. Roslovic has been growing each season too and has potential to get there, not to mention 19 year old Sillinger who looks to be well on his way.

Boone is horribly miscast as a 1C IMO. Sillinger belongs in the top 6, and Roslovic might too. But with Gaudreau on the wing, a guy who's a legit 2C can produce like a 1C (see: Lindholm, Elias).

Horribly miscast??? Ok, hold up now, that’s a pretty far stretch when he’s been our best center for the past three seasons. The infatuation with putting them on the wing came from Tortorella, because the team severely lacked heavy forechecking wings at the time. He was always put back into the middle because he was better than all the other options we had. I understand that’s a low bar with the center depth we have had the past few years, but Jenner has always played great there.

Now, I will cede that he is not properly cast as our first line center because he lacks elite speed and play making skills, but he is an excellent middle six center, of the caliber I believe to be that guy on a championship team. He has the hard-working, grinding attitude/mentality that teams need in guys to win it all. When have had good centers he has also thrives on the wing, but when he has been asked to be the F1 on the fourth check, he gets less chances around the net. At center he is able to play more around the net. His in close play IMO is his greatest strength aside from his motor. He’ll succeed wherever they put him, but he is not horribly miscast as a center.

I mean horribly miscast as a 1C on a team that has any hopes of contending. He's fine when you're not a real powerhouse team, but I agree that he's fine in a middle six role. But I'd rather see him in a 3W role, as I've said previously.
